The ESDU World Tour 2011 successfully ended with the ESDU DANCESTAR World Dance Masters!

With great pleasure, we announce that the ESDU DANCESTAR World Dance Masters 2011 has passed with extreme success. More than 4000 participants from 27 countries from all over the world came to Poreč to show their best and to win the title “The World Dance Champion 2011”. This year for the first time dancers from the Republic of South Africa and Malta took part in the competition and decided to be part of this beautiful dancing story fulfilled with many new friendships, education, competition and entertainment for six days.
There were so many
great performances so that the ESDU international board of judges
made of: Alun Jones (USA), Christopher Jamin (Belgium) ,
Dollie Henry (Great Britain), Daniel Lommel (Belgium), Niels Robitzky
alias Storm (Germany), Mariano Carlini (Italy), Santu Mamona
(Belgium), prof. Hans-Joachim Tappendorff (Germany) and June
Guaracci Schlosser (USA) had a very difficult task to choose “The
World Dance Champion 2011”. However, the final decision was made,
and the final results as well as the list of special prizes can be

Besides the competition, participants had the opportunity
to participate on 20 different workshops held by the ESDU
international and highly professional judges: Niels Robitzky alias
Storm, Santu Mamona, Dollie Henry, Alun Jones, Daniel Lommel, prof.
Hans-Joachim Tappendorff and June Guaracci Schlosser.
However, the culmination of the whole event was
the Star Night, the show program that showed the
diversity of the entire event. Special VIP Jury formed of
internationally known personalities from the world of dance, film,
music and theatre: Mani Gotovac, Zdenka Kovačiček, Rade
Šerbedžija, Giorgio Surian and Staša Zurovac had to choose the
Star Night winner out of 20 most attractive dances from the whole
ESDU World Tour2011. It was a magical night fulfilled with positively
charged atmosphere. Mrs. Zdenka Kovačiček as Janis Joplin opened
the Star Night and performances of Leonora, Stefano and Giorgio
Surian with Vladimir Babin on the piano gave a special insight in
what the audience was going to see. The Star Night ended with the
breathtaking performance of the Hip Hop living legend- Niels
Robitzky alias Storm.
Exclusively for our dancers and their directors, we also organized
the „Dancers’ Party“ in the lounge area in
front of the Intersport Center. We were all delighted to see all
those dancers dancing together as one huge ESDU family, having such a
good time.
It was a wonderful dancing week
fulfilled with many new experiences and wonderful new friendships. We
cordially thank to both our competitors and directors, as well as to
our board of judges. It was a week to remember and we hope you
enjoyed it.
